GRAVHOUNDS Mods: Build a Reward Pod Deck

How the in-game Mod Deck Builder changes your reward pool, with confirmed Early Access rules and limits.

GRAVHOUNDS Mods are in-game upgrades, not a collection of player-made files. The Mod Deck Builder lets you choose which unlocked Mods can appear in Reward Pods during an expedition. This page covers the developer's published rules for the October 2026 demo and what is confirmed for the November 2026 Early Access launch.

What the Mod Deck Builder does

The October 7 developer log says the builder becomes available after you unlock a couple of Mods. You choose 10 common Mods and up to 2 Showstoppers from your library. Reward Pods then draw Mods only from that selected deck. You can change the deck between expeditions. An independent demo guide also describes this deck size and the distinction between common Mods and Showstoppers.

The deck controls the pool of possible Mod rewards, not a guaranteed sequence. A Mod outside your deck should not appear from that pool under the published demo rules. Check the current in-game builder before relying on these exact slot counts: Early Access is still being updated.

What is available at launch?

The November 2 developer launch announcement describes a larger selection of Mods and Showstoppers in Early Access. The launch roster is not the same as the Mods already unlocked in your account or the number that fit in one deck. The Steam store page separately describes mid-shift abilities and upgrades, while an Xbox Wire interview with the studio explains that Reward Pods offer randomized weapons and upgrades.

A practical first deck

Choose Mods that support the job you expect to do, then test the deck over several shifts. For example, if you spend much of a shift building and defending, favour unlocked options that improve that role; if your team needs a runner, favour movement and survival. These are selection principles, not a ranked list of specific cards. The studio has changed Mod names, balance, upgrade prices and the Mod tree during the demo cycle, so a fixed best-in-slot table would need current game evidence. See the beginner tutorial for the overall shift loop and the weapons guide for firearm choices.

FAQ

Are these downloadable community mods?

This guide is about the game's built-in Mod upgrades. The cited developer materials do not establish an official third-party mod installation or Workshop process.

Why did I not see a Mod I unlocked?

The October rules say Reward Pods draw from your selected deck. Check whether the unlocked Mod is in that deck, then check the current in-game interface for changed rules. A particular Mod is not guaranteed to appear in one shift.

Can I edit the deck during a shift?

The developer describes swapping the deck between expeditions. This guide does not claim mid-shift editing is supported.
